Our Mother Earth gives us a home, but we destroy it. For example, we cut down trees. Yes, we need them to build homes and stuff like that but we need trees because it provides oxygen. Not only our we cutting down trees we litter which causes pollution which can make us sick. A good example of this is The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. Even though no one gets sick, you can see what happend to some place beautiful turn to some place ugly. And with that we get Global Warming. Because we have a hole in the Ozone Layer. The Ozone Layer is a region of the stratosphere which contains most (about 90%) of the Earth's atmospheric ozone. It is about10-25 miles (15-40 km) above the Earth's surface. The Ozone Layer shields the Earth from Ultraviolet B rays that come from the Sun. I bet your wondering, how do we have a hole, though? If you look at figure 1, which is a drawing of what is happening. By niw your wondering about the green house effect, well, figure 1 is showing it right there and you'll just love our Earth after you know what's going on. I'm dead serious, you'll want to save it. Which I understand, beacause we live here and we don't want it to go anywhere.
